Why accept USDT on TRON

TRON is the network most USDT moves on. Blocks arrive every three seconds, and exchanges in almost every country support TRC-20 withdrawals, which is why customers who hold USDT on an exchange usually pick it.

USDT is the largest stablecoin by circulation. Each token is meant to be worth one US dollar and is issued by Tether. It is the coin most customers already hold on exchanges, and it dominates stablecoin payments in Asia, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East, where people use it as everyday digital dollars.

Good fit for:

  • Customers paying from an exchange account (Binance, OKX, Bybit and most others support TRC-20 withdrawals)
  • Markets where USDT is everyday money: Asia, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East
  • Small and medium payments, where Ethereum's fees would hurt

How it works with Wolf Pay

  1. Create a payment in your dashboard, with a payment link, or from your server with the API, choosing USDT on TRON.
  2. Your customer pays on a hosted checkout that shows the exact amount, the TRON deposit address, a QR code and the network in large type, so they send the right coin on the right network.
  3. You get paid. Once the transfer has 19 confirmations (about a minute), the payment is marked paid, your webhook fires, and the amount (minus Wolf Pay's fee) is in your USDT balance, ready to pay out to your own wallet.
curl https://wolf-pay-five.vercel.app/api/v1/payments \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $WOLF_PAY_SECRET_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"amount": "49.00", "currency": "USDT", "network": "tron", "order_id": "1001"}'

The response includes a checkout_url to send the customer to. Full reference: API docs.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Only USDT is accepted on TRON (there is no USDC option on TRON at Wolf Pay).
  • A TRON address starts with T. If a customer's wallet asks for TRC-20, that's the one.
  • The amount has to be sent in full: if a customer's exchange deducts its withdrawal fee from the amount, the payment arrives short and is marked underpaid, with the difference shown.
  • Only send USDT to a USDT payment. Other tokens sent to the address aren't credited to the payment.
